Hobo_mini_roxanneOn Thursday, Nov. 15, the Hobo flagship store in Annapolis will host a shopping event called “Handbags for Hunger” to benefit Food Link Inc., a non-profit organization fighting to alleviate hunger in Maryland.

Hobo will donate 100 percent of the profits from Thursday’s event to Food Link. From 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., shop, socialize, dine and enjoy live music all in the name of charity. Appetizers will be served. Wine will be provided by the Red Red Wine Bar of Annapolis.

Koren Ray, the co-founder and designer of Hobo handbags, is a long-time Annapolis resident and is dedicated to giving back to the community. Ray was recently named 2012 Entrepreneur of the Year by the Annapolis and Anne Arundel Chamber of Commerce.

The Hobo store is located at 194 Green St. in downtown Annapolis. Limited space is available for Thursday’s VIP event. Please RSVP by Nov. 10 to Lea Erculiani Staines at lerculiani@hobobags.com.
