Favorite Things

Books webReading is one of my favorite pastimes. In a world filled with Kindles, Nooks and iPads, nothing beats cuddling up with a good book (or magazine) on the sofa. Sometimes you just need to unwind and unplug.

There’s something quintessentially comforting about diving into a favorite book. The characters feel like old friends and you can’t help but get lost in the adventure. Apparently I’m not alone in my love for reading.

Thatcher Wine, founder of Juniper Books, has tremendous respect for books and the art of the personal library. Speaking as someone who can spend countless hours at any library or bookstore, I’m impressed by Wine’s custom-designed home libraries.

In addition to building one-of-a-kind libraries, Wine also creates specialized book covers available in a variety of colors, designs and fabrics, such as leather, vellum and vintage cloth, to complement your home’s décor.

I especially like the modern leather series with its ornate bindings and gold titles and details. The reds, browns and burgundy colors give you the feel of a world-renowned library in your own home.

With personalized covers, books become more than just a gateway into another world. They become decorative elements as well. A beautifully designed library adds a sense of class and sophistication to any home.
