Even though artist Claudia Mengel is from Connecticut, she still manages to capture the beauty of Maryland’s shoreline and countryside in many of her works.
Members of the general public will get the opportunity to meet Mengel and view her art from October 15-16 at the Kenwood Kitchens Showroom in Lutherville.
Mengel’s artwork includes scenic depictions of her travels along the East Coast, in places such as The Hamptons, Rehoboth Beach and Sherwood Island in Connecticut to name a few.
The opening reception for the Mengel’s show will be held from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. on October 15 at the showroom. The show continues from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 16.
A portion of the show’s proceeds will benefit Special Olympics Maryland.
