We all have been hit by the economic downturn. And as odd as it sounds, it affects everything: including the bedding we purchase. With luxury travel on the decline, people are seeking to make their bedrooms a sanctuary, a place to relax and unwind; they are spending more time at home with their families, and more lazy weekend mornings in bed watching cartoons and reading the paper.
My arsenal for clients includes using simple, classic colors including ivory, creme, beige, and putty; for more modern interiors, crisp whites and stone grays. Think quality over quantity: I believe two sets of sheets is plenty; always have one on hand so when you are laundering your linens, the bed still looks amazing.
