On my way out of town for Memorial Day Weekend, I stopped to do some window shopping in downtown Frederick. I knew that some intriguing new home accessories stores had cropped up since I’d been there last, and was delighted to find a bright selection of items available just in time for the warm weather months.
From Market Street (downtown Frederick’s main drag), I turned onto Patrick Street, where I found two quaint but sophisticated boutiques blossoming with spring accessories.
At Home Essentials (38 East Patrick Street), I stumbled upon great new serveware, vases, linens, and wall décor. What I noticed in abundance was their stock of botanical print throw pillows in a variety of fresh, vibrant colors. From busier floral embroidered patterns to more simple and abstracted leaf forms, the pillows were delicately placed around the store to accent various displays.
From there, I wandered over to Simply Beautiful Boutique (43 East Patrick Street), where I was greeted by…you guessed it: even more plush pillows with springtime motifs.
Owner Elizabeth Pumphrey had adorned the shop with lively pillows printed with cherry blossom silhouettes in vivid color combinations.
Stop in for some other great finds, like Simply Beautiful’s collection of Arte Italica tableware and Vineyard Gardens pewter pieces.
